
Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS)
For twenty years the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (A.P.P.S.) has been bringing the best in college entertainment to Appalachian State University. ASU students select, plan, present, and promote popular and social co-curricular programming for students, faculty and staff. A.P.P.S. is the largest student organization and sponsors over 200 events per year. During the 2004-2005 academic year, A.P.P.S. programs were attended by over 59,600 people!
Since its conception, A.P.P.S. has brought such artists to campus such as: Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews, James Taylor, Allison Krauss, Bela’ Fleck, Outkast, North Mississippi Allstars, Lonestar, Nappy Roots, Black Eyed Peas, Jimmy Fallon, David Spade, Vertical Horizon and John Mayer.
