The Belk Library and Information Commons boasts a 210,000 sq. ft. facility that offers a full range of traditional and electronic information resources and services including a 24-hour study area and a multimedia production suite. Furthermore, the facility features a cyber café, 120-seat lecture hall, 29 group study rooms, and an assistive technology center for disabled persons. The Library houses more than 823,000 books; 1,513,400 microforms; and 56,700 sound recordings, videos, and other non-print media.

Appalachian’s Music Library, in the Broyhill Music Center, contains the books, scores, and sound recordings that support the curricula of the School of Music and other Appalachian programs.
