The energy from cheering for Mountaineer athletics is contagious. Whether you are watching the football team play at Kidd Brewer stadium on a perfect Appalachian fall day or reveling in the warmth and excitement at a basketball game in the Holmes Convocation Center during the winter, there is always a crowd to share the fun. It’s easy to want to support the Mountaineers when the stats show that Appalachian has had some of the winningest teams in the Southern Conference at the intercollegiate level. The challenge is deciding which sport to watch.
