Women's Varsity
Appalachian fields 10 varsity sports for women, which compete in the Southern Conference against Furman, Wofford, UNC Greensboro, the Citadel, Western Carolina, Elon University, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Davidson, the College of Charleston, and Georgia Southern. Appalachian women have captured the Germann Cup six times.
Appalachian has launched a major campaign to expand and renovate its athletic facilities. Improvements will include expansion and enhancements to Kidd Brewer Stadium, a new soccer stadium, renovation and expansion of Owens Field House, and the conversion of Varsity Gymnasium to a multi-use indoor practice facility.
